The year begins with smoke-choked Sydney ushered in the New Year with a huge fireworks display while a torrential rain resulted the great flooding that crippled the residence in Jakarta. As crisis clouded some of the first celebrations to ring in the new decade, the planet is sending us an unmistakable signal that we need to wake up and take real action to combat the climate crisis. And this is the decade we need to do it. 

But what does that mean to you? Perhaps not much. A year is a year, you may think. However, you might consider this an opportunity to do some reflection backward and anticipation forward on a broader scale than one year. Another decade, another 10 years of life is ending; another decade is beginning. These mileposts can provide valuable chances to celebrate, learn, focus and refocus. 

The Local Market .ID is coming back this spring with a fresh new approach to always reinventing ourselves to be better in our delivery and service to the merchant than before. Through our markets we act as a space for independent brands to showcase and sell their product while cultivating new connections within the community. We are a platform for established and emerging entrepreneurs interested in gaining brand exposure, sharing knowledge and collaborating with other creative entrepreneurs to promote the “circular economy” philosophy. At its core it’s simply a desire to want to see locals connecting with locals ultimately helping strengthen and organically grow the local economy.

GENERAL STALL (INDOORS) INFORMATION:

All the stall location will be determined by the Operators,

Table position and/or layout will be determined by the Operators:

• Space size is 150 cm x 200 cm.
• Table is only by request. Vendors can request a table if needed in our registration form online, or you can also bring your own table since we're not provided but please confirm to the committee about the size.
• Table size is will be about 80 cm x 120 cm.
• Vendors must be conscious of their neighbour's space to not block others.
• Vendor may bring your their own display to fit within the allocated space. Please be aware of your neighbours and not to obstruct passage.
• If you request electricity, the fee is Rp 250.000,- please add and pay for that option during your online check out or transfer. Stall holder not allowed to share their own electricity access to other stall holders.
• Owner of the Brand is to be present for the 3 days of the market.
• No stool is provided but you may bring your own stool to fit within your space.

FOOD AND BEVERAGE STALL (OUTDOORS)

• Food and beverage stalls are provided in the outdoor area. The space is about 150cm x 200cm.
• The food and beverage stall holder can request a table if needed.
• Electricity is available but outlets are limited. Please select this option if you require one during check out after approval, the fee is Rp 250.000.
• According to the rules and regulations of La Maison building, we CAN NOT using gas tanks but electric stove is allowed.

REGISTRATION PROCEDURE:

Please register online at thelocalmarket.id/register only. We will email you once your application is approved. If you do not have access to the website, you may contact us at 081295077024 or thelocalmarketid@gmail.com for us to send you a copy of the registration form.

ABSENTEE/LATE ARRIVAL/ EARLY DEPARTURE POLICY:

Vendors are required to participate in the market for the full 3 days. Vendors that arrive late or leaves early will not be invited to participate in the future events. This is a very firm policy. Please have your stall set up an hour before the start of the market.

PAYMENT:

Payment for tables will be through our online payment system using bank transfer. Advise us if you need to make any cash payment. We do offer cashless check out system for your customers on the days of the market. Customers will be able to pay using their credit cards, bank transfer or pay using cash. Please advise us on the form provided after approval if you require this service.

Sales tax is the stall holders own responsibility.  We do not collect sales tax for you.

TRANSACTIONS:

All tenants who are using their own edc must pay an extra Rp250,000 for electricity.  Tenants who would like to use our easy payment system for all their sales are encouraged to do so and to be registered with us into the system. We do not register any last minute request on the day of the event.  

Transactions are carried out in the cashier area provided by the Operators. 3% fee for all transactions.

ADVERTISING:

After approval, you have to send us  photographs of your products (we  will only accept high resolutions file) for us to include in our advertising. We will also do a custom poster for you to post on your own social media accounts. Please be advise multiple revisions are not accepted.

PARKING:

Available underground parking area and free of charge.
